Joy Lavonne (Breshears) Geuin, 88

Joy Lavonne (Breshears) Geuin, 88, went home to her Lord on April 27, 2016. She was born into a loving Christian family on Sept. 11, 1927, in Omak, Wash. She grew up surrounded by her family’s beautiful orchards.

She attended Central Washington State College, majoring in music. Joy married Allan Geuin on April 16, 1949. They raised five children. She became a teacher and taught second grade at Hayden Lake Elementary. Joy was a beloved longtime member of Mountain Lakes Bible Church.

She is survived by her children: Carol Thome, husband Cliff; Jan Berry, husband Bill; Ron Geuin, wife Marlow; Bob Geuin, wife Chrissy; Randy Geuin, wife Sue; sister Bev Millar and husband Tom; sister-in-law Thelma Geuin; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a loving church family.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Mountain Lakes Bible Church, 2215 N. Seventh St., Coeur d’Alene. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mountain Lakes Bible Church Benevolent Fund, 2215 N. Seventh St, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814. Our family thanks you all for your thoughts and prayers.
