Police: Toddler fired gun at Post Falls Park

No one was injured Thursday when a toddler fired a gun at Kiwanis Park, according to the Post Falls Police Department's Facebook page.

Officers were summoned to the park for a report of a possible shot fired.

The social media posting on www.facebook.com/postfallspolice states:

"When units arrived, it was discovered that a 3-year-old had found a loaded 9mm in the vehicle and accidentally fired the weapon. No injuries. Owner of the firearm, parents, were cited for injury to child."

The names of those cited were not released on social media. The Press has requested additional information.
