Teddy (Ted) Doyle Depee, 78

| April 24, 2016 9:00 PM

Beloved Christian Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend; went to be with our Lord on April 16, 2016.

Born on March 23, 1938 to Zella and Doyle Depee, in Wallace, Idaho.

After graduating from Roger’s high school, in Spokane, Washington, Ted attended Eastern Washington University studying Business Economics.

Ted married the love of his life; Shirley Louise Horine, on August 30th, 1958. They made their home in Spokane, Washington. They were joined in life by three daughters; Cynthia Louise, Julie Marie, and Jodi Lynn. After the passing of his brother; James Lewis, he gained another daughter; Lori Ann.

Ted worked for Northern Pacific Railroad/Burlington Northern for 42 years as a marketing agent, before retiring in 2000. His love of trains was equal to visiting with anyone who wanted to learn about them.

In 1978, Ted and Shirley moved to Twin Lakes Idaho to build a home together that would become a legacy to five generations. Ted and Shirley were active residents in the Twin Lakes Community, and in their children’s lives.

Ted was an avid fisherman, enjoying many trips to the coast with his wife, best friends, brothers, and sons. He also loved camping with family and friends, and spent many hours at the lakes and rivers in this beautiful area.

Ted was an active member of New Beginnings Baptist Church. He enjoyed teaching bible study classes and sharing our Lord’s word. His love for our Lord was strong and he was committed to Him. His walk was constant and he remained strong in his faith. His steadfast belief in the hereafter sustains us to this day.

Ted was preceded in death by his wife; Shirley Louise, and parents; Zella and Doyle Depee. One brother; James Lewis Depee. Brother in laws; Gary Coy, and Rick Horine.

Survived by daughters and son in laws; Cyndee Lou and Ed Engelhardt of Twin Lakes, Idaho, Julie and Greg Pickup of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Jodi and Tony Butler of Post Falls, Idaho. Ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, three sister in laws; Carol Depee, Lynda Coy and Joyce Horine, many nieces, nephews and our extended Canadian family.

Ted will always be remembered by the hand he extended to many. His door was always open and he loved to visit, on his deck, in his boat, around a table or anywhere the Lord would take him; on any given day.

He taught us to put the Lord first and love our families. It has been an honor and a blessing to have you in our lives. Let us always remember … Papa at the Lake.
