Alan Jay Watson, 55

Alan Jay Watson, 55, was born March 2, 1961, to George and Peggy Watson in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He passed away at Kootenai Health of a massive heart attack on April 18, 2016.

Jay grew up and attended school in Coeur d’Alene. He logged with his family as a young adult. In 2005, he married Crystal Edwards at the Hitching Post in Coeur d’Alene. Crystal was not only his wife, they were best friends as well. Jay loved camping with his wife, grandkids and all his family. His favorite place to camp is at Gram Creek on the Coeur d’Alene River.

Jay worked as a Traffic Control Supervisor for the last 10 years. Four years ago Jay, his wife and his sister-in-law started their very own traffic control company. He was very dedicated to his job and his family. He will be missed dearly by all his family and friends.

Jay is survived by his wife, Crystal; his three stepsons, R.J., Michael and Billy; seven grandkids; his mother, Peggy Watson of Post Falls; his brothers, George Watson of Kingston, Idaho, and younger brother Donnie Watson of Coeur d’Alene; many sisters and brothers-in-law; and countless friends.

Jay is preceded in death by his father, George; his grandparents and his brother, Rick Watson.
