Rod and Donna Herzel

50th Anniversary

Rod and Donna (Nickelsen) Herzel, of Coeur d’Alene, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married April 17, 1966, in Princeton, Ill.

They are both retired. Rod worked as a GTE/Verizon Tech and Donna as an Elementary School Paraprofessional.

Their children are: Sara and Thoren Teel of Post Falls, and Janell and Jason and Xander Macek of Hayden. They have one grandchild.

They will celebrate their anniversary today, April 17, 2016, at Nashville North’s Aaron Watson concert. All family and friends are invited.

MILESTONE BIRTHDAY

Glen E. Baeumel

95th Birthday

Glen E. Baeumel is celebrating his 95th birthday on April 19, 2016, the very same day as his great-grandson, Caeden Scott, who will be turning 12 years old.

Glen was born and raised in Newton, Kan., and served in the United States Navy from August 1939 to August 1949 during World War II. Glen served on Destroyers, Cruisers and Fleet Tankers out in the Atlantic and Pacific and in the Mediterranean Oceans as well as Kiska, Aleutians and Attu waters.

He than met the love of his life, Dorothy Baeumel, and they have enjoyed 68 wonderful and blessed years together. They had four children: Steven Baeumel of Coeur d’Alene, Mark Baeumel of Coeur d’Alene, Cheryl Johnston of Coeur d’Alene and Charis Williams of Lakeside, Mont. They have seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will be gathering together to celebrate this special day.
