John Brewster, 77

John Brewster, 77, of Harrison, Idaho, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.

John was a man of many dreams and goals and he fulfilled them all. There was never an obstacle that came his way that he couldn’t conquer. John was a man of many things, but most of all he was a great husband to his wife, Karen, as well as a sound role model for his children and grandchildren. He was the pinnacle of what a loving husband, father and grandfather should be.

John was the oldest of 10 children — six sisters and three brothers.

John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen; and son John Brewster Jr., wife Lisa and daughter Kelly Brewster. John had four grandsons, Jonathan, Dustin, Cody and Jacob; and one great-granddaughter, Jaada.

John was a caring, loving man who gave a lot to his family, friends and his community.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Goodbye my Love, Karen.

A viewing will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Harrison. Graveside service will follow at the Harrison Cemetery. A reception in John’s honor will be held at the Grange in Harrison in which John rebuilt.
