Along with honoring the current board of directors for their service to the league Coeur d'Alene Little League presented four $500 scholarships to local student athletes that participated in Coeur d Alene Little League in the past and have continued to demonstrate leadership on the field as well in the classroom. The red oak was planted in memory of Reggie Nault, a past Coeur d'Alene Little League player and all-star who passed away this past summer. An engraved plaque was presented to Andy Nault, Reggie's father, and will be placed next to the tree as a permanent memorial</p>

Coeur d’Alene Sting under-14 girls: The Sting beat the Valley Thunder 7-0. Emma Ramage scored a hat trick, Madyson Smith scored two goals, and Madison Sorsabal and Megan Corette, each scored once. Jordan Roth and Madison Sorsabal each had assists.

Academy U13 girls: The Cads defeated ASE G02 Wagner 8-0 on Saturday at Post Falls High. Sarah Hines and Jade Reed each scored hat tricks, and Dillen Duncan and Maddie Klundt each scored once. Duncan, Hines, Alex Gilbertson and Morgan Rust each had assists.

On Sunday, the Cads won at Wenatchee Valley United SC 3-0. Lilith Tweedy scored two goals, Sarah Hines one in the win, and Autumn Lambert had two saves in the shutout.

Sting U14/15U boys Liverpool/Ajax: The Sting tied Spokane’s U15B Shadow-United Vierra 1-1 on Saturday at the Dwight Merkel Sports Complex in Spokane.

Fischer Conces scored, assisted by Nolan Meehan. Reilly Burton had six saves, Dalton Durrant three for the Sting.

Sting U13 girls: The Sting beat the Dragons FC G02 Washington 3-2 on Saturday. Sting goals were scored by Riley Anderson, Chloe Biediger, and Kamryn Becker, with two assists by Abbie Lyman.

Sting Valencia U14 boys: The Sting Valencia beat the Cobra Morritos United 6-2 on Saturday. Tyler Shaw scored two goals, and Cameron Dance, Carter Gordon, Jacob Janzen, Kyler Sorensen and Jacob Overoye each scored one. Tyler Shaw had two assists, Josh Brisendine and Cameron Dance one each.

On Sunday, the Sting Valencia defeated CB United Navy 9-1. Sam Anderson and Tyler Shaw each scored hat tricks, Jacob Janzen scored two goals, Kyler Sorensen one, with two assists by McKie Gregory and one by Jacob Janzen.

Sting U13 boys Arsenal: The Sting defeated Cobras FC from Othello, Wash., 4-2 on Saturday morning. Chris Swider, Cooper Proctor, Jackson Henkle and Michael Schlothauer each scored one goal. In the afternoon, the Sting shut out the Idaho Thunder 10-0. Mason Paskett, Michael Schlothauer and Chris Swider scored two goals each. Kyler Haynes, Cooper Proctor, Jackson Henkle and Michael Simpson each scored once. On Sunday, the Sting lost 2-1 to Academy Idaho. Jackson Henkle scored the goal for the Sting, assisted by Ronan Malaghan.

Sting U15 boys Manchester United: The Sting beat the Thunder U18 4-1 on April 7. Davin Harrison scored two goals and Greyden Lee and Gabe Nazemi each scored one.

The Sting U15 boys lost 4-1 to the Sting U18. The Sting U15 led 1-0 at halftime, on a goal by Davin Harrison.

Sting U11 girls Bond: The Sting tied the Moscow United U11 1-1 last Saturday. With just a few minutes left in the game, Sting goalkeeper Mia Bond blasted a drop kick from goal against a crosswind that flew three quarters of the field, and beat the opposing keeper for the game-tying goal.

Sting U9 girls Hamm: The Sting beat FC Spokane G06 Gold-Sackmann 13-2. Natalie Thompson and Paisley Goings each scored hat tricks for the Sting, Rachel Corette and Lucy Simpson each had two goals, and Lydia Lehosit, Brooklyn Paskett and Amelia Hadley each scored once. Lola Burns and Lucy Simpson each had assists.

Sting U12 girls Gold: The Sting played the SGEOSC Fusion 03 group from Seattle to a 3-3 tie on Sunday at Canfield Middle School, in PSPL Classic 1 division play. Amber Aittama, Sophia Allen and Isabella Lucky each scored once for the Sting, and Amber Aittama had an assist.

Sting U8 Dynamo boys: On Saturday, the Sting beat FC Spokane Gold 7-3. Parker Sterling and Isaac Lowder each scored hat tricks and Brady Meehan scored once.

On Sunday the Sting U8 lost 7-3 to FC Spokane Knoll. Parker Sterling scored three goals, and Killian Schreiber and Camden Leopert both had assists.

Sting U9 boys Dempsey: On Saturday, the Sting defeated the Pullman Soccer Club 6-0. Jacob Molina, Kai Delio, and Connor Mongan each scored twice in the win.

Sting U12 boys gold: The Sting travelled to Seattle last weekend and played twice. On Saturday, the Sting beat Nortac Sparta B03 Red 6-0. Walker Jump had three goals and 1 assist. Noah Janzen scored 2 goals. Byrce Allred had 1 goal and 2 assist. Miles Jones and Max Anderson each had 1 assist. Cole Jaworski posted the shutout in goal.

On Sunday, the Sting beat West Narrows FC B03 Blue 3-1. Alex Reyes had 2 goals. Noah Janzen had 1 goal and 1 assist. Walker Jump had 2 assists.

Sting U11 boys Yellow 04-05: The Sting beat the Spokane Shadow (Sharon) 8-0 on Monday. Chris Mongan and Cooper Prohaska each scored two goals, and Luke Orozco, Blaine Leonard, Caden Thompson and Jack Meehan each scored once.

Idaho Thunder girls Briseno: The Thunder tied Missoula FC 3-3 on Saturday. Bethany Gilmor scored two goals, Maddy Lasher one for the Thunder.

On Sunday, the Idaho Thunder Briseno lost 3-1 to the Sting, with Bethany Gilmor scoring the lone goal for Idaho Thunder.

Also on Sunday, the Idaho Thunder defeated IEYSA Scotties 5-2 with a hat trick scored by Maddy Lasher and Bethany Gillmor scoring 2.

Sting U10 boys Liverpool: The Sting beat the Spokane Pumas (Platinum) 7-4 on Saturday.

COEUR d’ALENE RECREATION

Skateboarding: Registration is currently taking place for the Introduction to Skateboarding clinic which is co-sponsored by the Coeur d’Alene Recreation Department and held at the CDA Skate Park.

Orientation meeting is Friday, May 13 and three sessions are scheduled for Saturdays — May 14, May 28, and June 4.

Registration forms are available online at cdaid.org/recreation or by coming into the Coeur d’Alene Recreation Department office at City Hall, 710 Mullan.

Pre-registration is required and there is limited registration.
