Jerry G. Baker, 80

| April 9, 2016 9:00 PM

1935 — 2016

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.” Psalms 116:15

It was the simple things in life Jerry never took for granted: swinging in his yard with his family, planting flowers for his wife, telling stories to his grandchildren and telling everyone he met about Jesus. He began serving the Lord in 1950 and that choice changed everything about his life.

Because of Christ he was a devoted husband, father, son, granddad, brother and friend. He was a man that lived and believed in the power and strength of Christ’s love and the peace that was awaiting him after his passing. Allowing God to mold his life gave his family and friends the greatest gift of all — the knowledge of a life submitted to the Lord changes everything. He fought the good fight. He finished the race. He kept the faith. He will be forever in our hearts. “Well done good and faithful servant.”

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, LaGreda Baker; his children, Terry Bottelson, Kathy Nigh, Steve Baker, Jeani Waco, Kim Jerald and Breanne Bell; his sons-in-law, John Waco and Jeremy Bell. Also his grandchildren, Michael Bumbaugh; Sean, Danny, Gabe and Brandon Cleave; Emma and David Baker; Johnny, Michael and Christian Waco; Kyle, Randy and Nick Gerald; and 22 great-grandchildren.

The memorial will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016, at The Altar Church, 901 E. Best Ave., Coeur d’Alene.
