Geological Survey Town Hall planned at NIC
COEUR d’ALENE — The public is invited to an Idaho Geological Survey Town Hall Meeting from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in Meyer Health and Sciences Building lecture hall 106 at North Idaho College.
The Idaho Geological Survey is a public service and research agency that is housed at the University of Idaho and serves the entire state with information about geology, minerals and other natural resources. Members of the Idaho Geological Survey staff acquire geologic information through field and laboratory investigations and through cooperative programs with other governmental and private agencies.
IGS director and state geologist Ed Ratchford will give a brief presentation on IGS services, followed by an open forum for town hall attendees to ask questions, discuss IGS-related issues and provide feedback.
UI Vice President for Research and Economic Development Jack McIver and Senior Associate Vice President for Research and Economic Development Bob Smith also will take questions and feedback.
The Meyer Health and Sciences Building is located at 1000 W. Garden Ave., Coeur d’Alene, 83814. Free parking is available in the adjacent student lot. A parking map is available at http://bit.ly/IGSTownHall.
