MOSCOW — The Vikings’ girls doubles teams of Lauren Carlsen and Sarah Swider, and Gabby Kauer and Kim Gunnerson each contributed to sweeps of the Bears.
“For our second match, we’re still trying to figure out who’ll play where,” Coeur d’Alene girls coach Laura Taylor said. “We are trying out different things. Laura and Sarah played great together today and we’ll see where we go from there.”
Seth Priebe and Rex Wade of Coeur d’Alene defeated Ethan Odberg and Eric Garber 7-6 (9-7), 6-0 in No. 2 boys doubles.
“I thought we competed pretty well,” Coeur d’Alene boys coach Dan O’Connor said. “Both teams are young and developing, we’re kind of finding ourselves.”
Coeur d’Alene plays Wednesday at Lewiston.
