NIC SOFTBALL: Cards romp to sweep

YAKIMA, Wash. — Emily Aspden went 4 for 4 in the first game with two RBIs and two runs scored as the North Idaho College softball team swept the Yakima Valley Yaks (2-18, 1-11 NWAC) 16-3 and 13-3 in Northwest Athletic Conference play on Saturday at Dunbar Field.

In the nightcap, Chloe McIntosh, Nicole Miller and Brittany Gay all homered for NIC (16-4, 10-2), which hosts Spokane in a doubleheader on Wednesday at Memorial Field starting at 2 p.m.
