COEUR d’ALENE — Emily Vanderhoof scored two goals for the Timberlake Tigers in 2-2 draw with the Coeur d’Alene Charter Panthers in an Intermountain League match on Tuesday at Community United Methodist Church.

Coeur d’Alene Charter (9-3-1, 7-1-1 IML), which beat Timberlake for the state 3A title last year, took a 2-1 lead at the half on a goal by Cali Shipman in the 31st minute.
“I am very proud of how our players competed today,” Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Dave Baxter said. “It was a hard-fought game by both teams.”
Vanderhoof’s goal in the 47th evened the score for Timberlake (12-0-1, 8-0-1 IML), which beat Coeur d’Alene Charter 6-1 on Sept. 14 in Spirit Lake.
On Thursday, Timberlake travels to Kellogg and Coeur d’Alene Charter (9-3-1, 7-1-1) hosts the Sandpoint JV.

“We started out a little slow, but played really well as a team today,” Coeur d’Alene coach Andy Vredenburg said. “We moved the ball around today and things are starting to click for us. We’re just having trouble finishing and Roop just got one in for us.”
Coeur d’Alene (6-2-1) travels to Post Falls for a 5A Inland Emipre League match on Thursday at 4 p.m.

“We had our opportunities, but weren’t able to put it in the back of the net and Lewiston was,” Post Falls coach Sarah Stevens said.

Freshman Gabe Nazemi scored on an assist from Docker Bond in the 22nd minute for Coeur d’Alene (4-5), which hosts Post Falls on Thursday at 4 p.m.
“It was a big goal by Lane,” Coeur d’Alene coach Jeff Lake said. “Both Gabe and Docker are freshmen and that’s a special moment for the team to have two freshmen do that at the varsity level. I just like how we kept fighting and got the got the goal that won it.”
