Christopher M. Bryant, 29
Affectionately known as “Big Chris” or “BC” by those who loved him, Christopher was gifted to his family and future friends at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane on Saturday, Sept. 21, 1985. After living a life filled with love for others, Christopher fell into eternal and peaceful sleep on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015.
He loved his family and his friends who he considered his extended family. He is survived by his great-grandmother, Georgia; grandparents Don and Claudia Moberg, and Linda Mowery; his mother, Julie and father Brent; and his brothers and sister, Daniel, Shane, Ashly, Patrick and Travis.
Although, because of his size, “BC” might have caused initial concern for strangers, it was quickly learned that he had a kind, gentle and sensitive spirit. It was common for Christopher to unselfishly give to others, even at personal sacrifice. Slow to anger and quick to forgive, he always looked for the good in people.
Christopher graduated from North Central High School in June 2005 and loved sharing his favorite music, movies, writings and cooking with all those who were fortunate enough to be in his company.
His passing will leave a hole in the hearts of those who loved him; but that hole will quickly be filled with the wonderful and happy memories of “Big Chris.” Christopher would not want anyone to be sad about his passing but, instead, to go forward with a long and happy life. In the words of his favorite song by Bobby McFerrin, Christopher would advise, “Don’t worry, be happy.”
A celebration of Christopher’s life will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls, Idaho. You are invited to bring pictures, personal memories and stories about your experiences with “Big Chris.”
