Coeur d’Alene Sting under-12 girls: The Sting fell 6-0 to SSC Shadow Hall on Saturday.
Sting U10 boys Southampton: On Saturday, The Sting tied the Valley Blue 2-2 at Hayden Meadows. Gavin Samayoa and Grayson Storey scored for the Sting, and Taylor Corbeill had an assist.
Later that day, the Sting beat the Sandpoint Strikers 6-5 at Travers Park in Sandpoint. Gunner Larson and Boston Spear each scored twice for the Sting, and Gavin Samayoa and Caylan Harshfield each scored once. Canyon Spencer and Benjamin Linford had one assist each.
Sting boys ’02-’03 Arsenal: The Sting opened its season with an 8-0 win against the Spokane Pumas last Saturday at Coeur d’Alene High. Chris Swider and Ronan Malaghan each scored two goals, and Rylan Carter, Owen Smith, Kyler Haynes and Michael Schlothauer each scored once.
Sting U14 girls: The Sting lost 3-0 to CWSA Navy Washburn on Saturday.
On Sunday, the Sting tied the Spokane Foxes 1-1. Julieanna Stith scored the lone Sting goal, off an assist by Geneva Bengtson.
Sting U11 boys: On Saturday, the Sting beat FC Spokane Black 4-1. Landon Sternberg scored two goals and Aiden Smetzler and Isaac Fritz each scored once for the Sting.
Sting U12 boys Silver: The Sting lost 3-2 to Pullman-Oatley last Saturday. Sean Dremann and Talon Mitchell scored for the Sting.
Academy U13 boys: The Academy tied FC Spokane 2-2. Brayson Harrington and Ethan Lawson each scored once.
Academy U13 girls: The Academy tied the Spokane Foxes 1-1. Kaylee Moate scored for the Academy, assisted by Sarah Hines.

Sting U8 girls (Sky): The Sting lost to BV-Spokane 6-4. The Sting had two first-half goals both scored by Anna Ploof with assists by Talya Whittemoore and Sloan Waddell. The Sting had two second-half goals, scored by Savannah Rojo, with an assist from Sofia Peressini, and by Savannah Spencer, with an assist from Allie Frank.
Sting U10 girls Spirit: The Sting beat Spokane Shadow NS1 7-4 on Saturday. Avery Waddington scored a hat trick and had 1 assist for the Sting, Violet Andrews scored 2 goals and had 2 assists, and Lauren Bengtson scored 2 goals and had 1 assist.
Sting U10 boys Juventus: The Sting beat the Shadow North-Side Red 5-3 on Saturday. Ronan Sternberg had 3 goals and 1 assist. Zach McKenna had 2 goals. Gavin Schoener, Trenton Anderson, Connor Jump and Max Entzi each had 1 assist.
In their second game on Saturday, the Sting Juventus tied the Shadow South-Hill Blue 2-2. Connor Jump and Ronan Sternberg each had 1 goal. Max Entzi and Jensen Elliott each had 1 assist. Gavin Schoener and Jensen Elliott combined in goal.
Sting U11 girls: The Sting placed fourth at the Pend Oreille Cup in Sandpoint.
They beat Sandpoint Strikers 4-1 in their first game. Taleya Jones scored two goals, and Jocelyn Dennis and Alize Duvall each scored one goal.
The Sting tied the Spokane Shadow 1-1. Taleya Jones scored the only goal for the Sting. They lost to the Shadow 6-1, and Jocelyn Dennis scored the only goal.
The Sting lost 9-2 to the Spokane Scotties last Saturday. Jocelyn Dennis scored a goal for the Sting, with an assist from Taleya Jones. Taleya also scored a goal with an assist from Becky Chester.
Sting ’03-’04 boys: The Sting tied the Cascade FC B03 Green 2-2. Jack Shrontz and Noah Janzen each scored one goal for the Sting, and Miles Jones had an assist.
On Sunday, the Sting Gold lost 2-1 to FC Edmonds Velocity. Bryce Allred scored the lone goal for the Sting.
WRESTLING
Wolfpack Wrestling Club signups: Registration for those in grades K-8 is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Lake City High commons.
Club fee is $55, which includes T-shirt and USA wrestling card for secondary insurance.

Local all-stars: Two North Idaho golfers — Rhonin Edwards from Avondale and Dominic Mosby from the Coeur d’Alene Golf Club — were named to the Pacific Northwest North All-Stars, who will compete in the PGA Junior League Golf West Regional this Saturday and Sunday at Chehalem Glenn Golf Course in Newberg, Ore.
They will compete against the PNW South, Northern California and Southern California All-Star teams at the regional, with the winner advancing to the 2015 PGA Junior League Golf Championship Nov. 5-8 at Disney’s Palm Course at Walt Disney Resort.

Games are set to begin the second week in November and run through December.
Registration for 6th-8th grade boys and girls basketball is Oct.12-23. This program is set to begin mid November and run through December.
Games and practices are held weekdays and Saturdays at local schools.
Cost for these programs is $26 for city residents and $31 for non-city residents.
Registration is at the Coeur d’Alene City Hall, 710 Mullan Ave.
A K-2nd grade program will register in January and be held in February and March.
