Wildfire closures lifted

| September 19, 2015 9:00 PM

All large emergency wildfire area closures have been lifted for the St. Joe Ranger District as firefighters and weather conditions continue reducing fire activity in the area.

The previous area closures have primarily been replaced by a handful of road closures, which include Forest Road 1936 from Forest Road 321 to Forest Road 1936A, Forest Road 490 from Forest Road 1936 to Forest Road 396, and Forest Road 363 from Forest Road 1268 to Buzzard Roost.

All other areas, roads and trails are now open on the St. Joe Ranger District.

Prior to venturing into the woods for hunting or other recreational activities, forest visitors are strongly encouraged to view maps of the closed roads and trails in order to ensure their safety.

Maps and specific descriptions of the closed areas can be viewed by visiting your local Forest Service office and online at the Idaho Panhandle National Forests website, http://www.fs.usda.gov/ipnf.
