Adeline Meduri, 75
Adeline Meduri, 75, of Post Falls, Idaho, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, after her battle with lung cancer. She was the youngest of six, born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 1, 1940, to Charles Devlin and Adeline Castagna Devlin.
She married the love of her life, John (Sammy) Salvatore Bruno Meduri, May 10, 1959, and began to raise her family. She lived in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey before making her trek out West to Idaho in 2007.
Here in Idaho, she was blessed with many friends at Montrose Senior Apartments where she enjoyed keeping in touch with family and friends on social media, crafting, trips to the Casinos, bus trips shopping and potlucks at the clubhouse. Above all else, she cherished being a grandmother to her pride and joys, her grandchildren: David James Moruzzi II, John Salvatore Meduri Jr., Gabriel Jace Danser and Reed Christopher Garrett.
Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Adeline (Lilian) Devlin; husband John Salvatore Bruno Meduri; brother Jimmy; sisters Bonnie, Dolores and Margie; and sons-in-law Joseph Paone and Jay D. Danser Jr.
She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and faithful friend and is survived by her brother, Ronnie Devlin and sister-in-law Ginger Devlin of Seattle, Wash.; daughter Catherine Moruzzi and son-in-law David Moruzzi, grandson David James Moruzzi II of Post Falls; son John Salvatore Meduri and grandson John Salvatore Meduri Jr. of Easton, Pa.; daughter Christine Danser-Garrett and son-in-law Christopher Garrett, grandsons Gabriel Jace Danser and Reed Christopher Garrett of Hayden; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her. There will be a celebration of her life with family and friends held beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at Montrose Apartments Clubhouse, 2265 W. Compass Loop, Post Falls.
