GOODNESS: Here it is, times two
In August, two people presented themselves as generous and good people. The first instance was a lady waiting in line at a Post Falls pharmacy — I believe she said her name was Lynette — although it was a stressful day and I may have remembered it incorrectly. I was ahead of her in line to get some medication that my husband needed after his outpatient surgery that day, when she intervened and offered me help with a problem. I was embarrassed to be in that situation to need help, but it was one of those unexpected circumstances where I did and she made a very stressful day into a grateful one. In addition to her kind act, the pharmacy personnel were also extraordinarily helpful and efficient in helping me get the prescriptions filled.
On another occasion a few days later, I got a phone call from a man named Dan who had found my son’s cell phone and had called me because I was a contact number on the list. Dan, who said he lived four blocks from my son, delivered his phone to him.
We hear too much about the bad people in the world, so it’s good to remember that there are good people out there like the two who helped me.
