Darline (Schilling) Selzler, 79

Darline (Schilling) Selzler, 79, passed away peacefully on Sept. 6, 2015, at the Hospice House in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Darline was born on July 16, 1936, in Coeur d'Alene to Edward R. Shilling and Alene Mildred Richardson.

Darline attended and graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1954 and attended North Idaho Junior College from 1954-1955. She was employed by Kaiser Aluminum in Trentwood in 1955 and remained employed at Kaiser until her retirement in 1987, a total of 32 years.

Darline married Leo (Lee) Selzler on July 20, 1958. She and Leo had one son, Kevin, the father of their granddaughter, Rachael. Darline was very close to her granddaughter and loved her very deeply.

Darline is survived by her mother, Aleene Kiger; her husband, Lee; son Kevin and granddaughter Rachael. Darline is also survived by her cousins: Shirley Shibley of Coeur d'Alene, David Vesser, Sharon Vesser and Sandy Walker of Creek, Mich.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Darline was predeceased by her father, Edward R. Shilling; her stepfather, John Kiger and her aunt, Lorraine Vesser.

Mass will be held for Darline at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at St. Pius X Catholic Church.

After Mass, Lee and Kevin would like to invite family and friends to a gathering from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at the family home, 2704 Sixth Place. Food and beverages will be provided.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Pius X Church or Hospice of North Idaho.
