NIC Booster Club plans Athletic Showcase Tuesday

COEUR d'ALENE - North Idaho College coaches will present previews of the upcoming season just getting underway at the Booster Club Luncheon Coaches Showcase from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the Coeur d'Alene Inn-Best Western Plus.

Head coaches from all of NIC's teams will be on hand to give insight and predictions for their respective sports of the 2015-16 seasons. There will also be a season recap highlight video and raffle at the showcase.

The public is welcome to attend the luncheon. The cost of lunch is not covered.

Hatley qualifies for USGA mid-amateur national tourney

Reid Hatley of Hayden Lake has qualified for the U.S. Golf Association Mid-Amateur men's national tournament Oct. 3-8 at John's Island Club in Vero Beach, Fla.

Hatley qualified by winning the U.S. Mid-Amateur qualifying tournament Wednesday at Falcon Crest Golf Club in Kuna. He won on the second hole of a playoff, after he tied with two other golfers for first place after shooting 2-over-par 74.
