Fundraiser golf tourney
set for Oct. 4 at Links
POST FALLS - The Shankapotamus Fall Scramble will be held on Sunday, Oct. 4 at The Links Golf Club, starting with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
The event will benefit KC and Shawna McDonald's medical costs due to a recent surgery.
Cost is $250 per team, or $62.50 per person and includes 18-hole green fees, cart and range balls. They will also be raffling off items, including a guided fly fishing trip on the Clark Fork River in Montana.

Shock sign pair
of defensive backs
The Spokane Shock signed two additional players to their roster in preparation for the 2016 season in the Indoor Football League in defensive backs Terry Shankle and Randall Burden.
Shankle, a 5-foot-9, 175-pound defensive back from North Carolina, joins the Shock for his second season as a member of the IFL after playing in six games for the Nebraska Danger in 2015, recording 22 tackles and three pass breakups. At North Carolina, he appeared in 30 games and recorded 60 tackles, four interceptions and nine passes defensed.
Burden (6-2, 190), from Kentucky, joins the Shock for his first season in the IFL. During the 2015 AFL season, Burden played in seven games for Tampa Bay, finishing with 28 tackles and three pass breakups. Prior to joining the Storm, he played in the Ultimate Indoor Football League for the Missouri Monsters and in the AFL for the Utah Blaze.
