Artists Studio Tour hits Cd'A
COEUR d'ALENE - The Coeur d'Alene Arts and Culture Alliance will present the fourth annual Artists Studio Tour this weekend.
The free tour, which is open to the public, will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Participants can tour nine studios and interact with 17 professional artists, while enjoying demonstrations and works in progress.
A gala reception has been added this year. It will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Coeur d'Alene Visitors Center at 105 N. First St. during ArtWalk. Studio Tour artists will be in attendance and showing examples of their work. Beverages and appetizers will be served.
Also new this year is a raffle of Studio Tour artist Debora Seaver's glass art, valued at $950. Raffle tickets are $10 and only 200 will be sold. They are available at the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce and sold during the reception.
The drawing will be held at 7 p.m. during the reception. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.
The nine studios are located in Hayden, Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls. Brochures with maps and instructions are available at the Coeur d'Alene Area Chamber as well as at many of the downtown galleries, the Jacklin Arts and Culture Center (JACC) at 405 N. William St. in Post Falls and at Creative Element at 210 W. Sunset Ave. in Coeur d'Alene just south of the Home Depot nursery.
