| September 10, 2015 9:00 PM

Debra L. Hokel, 58, of Athol, Idaho, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 8, 2015. Born Jan. 23, 1957, in Medford, Ore., to father Lorne E. Morrison and mother Florence M. (Sharpe) Morrison. She grew up in Spokane, Wash., and graduated from Mead High School in 1975. Married to Joe Hokel on Oct. 16, 1993, at their home in Greenacres, Wash.

She was a Union Laborer in Local 238 16 years and recording secretary for seven years. Debbie's work took her from her home town of Spokane to live in the Tri-Cities and then back to Spokane to eventually retire in Athol on "Akin Back Ranch" road. Debbie enjoyed watching football and sewing, but she most enjoyed working and spending time in her beautiful gardens.

Debbie... Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Friend... Doesn't begin to explain who you are or the life you lead. Each one of us will hold our happy memories of you close to our hearts.

You were one of the strongest women! When you walked into a room we all knew you were there!

You will forever be missed by those of us who knew and loved you and we will find our comfort knowing that you are in the hands of the Lord. We Love You.

She is remembered by her loving husband, Joe Hokel of Athol; son Mathew J. Hobbs and his children J.R. and Rachel Hobbs of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; son Jake M. Hobbs of Colorado Springs, Colo.; mother Florence M. Morrison of Coeur d'Alene; sister Ginger E. Harmala of Benton City, Wash.; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Any donations in Loving Memory of Debbie can be sent to Hospice of North Idaho, Hospice House.

Yates Funeral Home is entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Debra's memorial and sign her online guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
