MISSING: Help Oscar get home

| September 9, 2015 9:00 PM

Nine years ago I rescued an abandoned kitten from a vacant house in Post Falls. The plan was to get him healthy and then adoption. Long story short I fell in love and couldn’t part with him. I named him Oscar. He is an indoor cat and not allowed outside.

Recently, an abandoned cat in my neighborhood found me. I decided there was no harm in feeding him outside. He shows up each morning and evening for food but then disappears back to his “home.” Oscar took great interest in watching him from behind the sliding door.

Sadly, at some point late Saturday afternoon, my beloved Oscar must have slipped behind me and gotten loose into the backyard. I’m sure he was looking for the stray.

We are HEARTBROKEN! We’ve spent the last two days combing the neighborhood and placing more than 100 flyers into mailboxes. More of the same Tuesday.

This is my request to your readers: Oscar has not been outside in nine years. He is declawed and has no defenses. He is frightened, cold and hungry. He is our baby. He went missing in the area of Rosspoint and Maplewood in Post Falls. Please check your yards and garages or anywhere he might hide. Here is a general description:

9-year-old male

Blond/Buff

12-15 pounds

Timid at first but responds to treats.

If you can help, my husband and I would be eternally grateful! We are prepared to pay a reward for his safe homecoming. Thank you!
