Live After 5 returns for another show tonight

| September 9, 2015 9:00 PM

The kids are back at school, but the show's not over yet for what's become a summer entertainment tradition in Coeur d'Alene.

This year's Live After 5 concert series is being extended for one more week at the corner of Sixth Street and Sherman Avenue.

"The Encore - A Singer-Songwriter Showcase" will run from 5-8 p.m. today and feature nine regional acoustic artists.

Event organizer Tyler Davis said Live After 5 is hosting the extra show because it has never promoted a singer-songwriter showcase before.

"But mostly, I wasn't ready for the season to end yet," Davis said.

The usually mild and pleasant September weather has always been a draw for adding additional dates, he said.

"But we were unsure if the community would continue to support it with school back in session," Davis said. "So, this also serves as a tester for future years."

The cost to attend is $5. Children 12 and younger are free.

The lineup is, from 5 to 6 p.m.: Tommy Gantt, Jordan Collins, Eric Hen and Rhys Gerwin; and from 6 to 8 p.m.: Bill Bozly, Tabitha Coldiron, Robby French, Casey Ryan, and Patrick Coast.
