FORWARD: A special occasion

I’ve always enjoyed reading letters in The Press where someone has had their groceries or perhaps their meals paid for by some stranger, and then not knowing whom to thank. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think we would be the recipients of such a favor.

It has become almost a tradition for some good friends and us to go out for lunch together this time of year. Within about two weeks, our friends each have their birthday and my wife and I have our anniversary. Wednesday was a little special because it was our 50th anniversary.

At the end of our meal the waitress came over and stated that someone had already paid our bill. I guess that placing fliers on all the tables announcing our celebrations paid off!

On a serious note, we would like to deeply thank whoever paid for it and will be faithful in PASSING IT ON.
