Coeur d'Alene Sting under-14 boys Valencia: The Sting team is competing in the NWCL league. Their first weekend of games was in Portland last weekend.
The Sting lost 4-1 to the Eastside Timbers FC ET B01 Red (Ajax) on Friday night. The Sting goal was scored by Drake Prohaska with an assist by Josh Brisendine.
On Saturday, the Sting lost 4-1 to the Washington Premier FC WPFC Boys 01 Black. The Sting goal was scored by Jacob Janzen off a penalty kick.
The Sting Valencia lost 4-0 to FC West Inter on Sunday.
Academy returns: The Puget Sound Premier League Junior Academy, under the instruction of PSPL assistant academy director Dave Simeone, is scheduled for Sept. 14, 21 and 28, and Oct. 5, 12 and 19 at The Dome indoor facility, 167 W. Miles Ave. in Hayden.
Boys and girls born in 2008, '07 and '06 will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and boys and girls born in 2004 and '05 will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Cost is $150.

AAU BASKETBALL
Spokane Stars camp: The annual Spokane Stars weekly girls basketball skills camp, under the director of Stars president Ron Adams, with visits from area college coaches, begins Sunday, Sept. 13 at The Fitness Center, 14200 E. Sprague in Spokane Valley.
Level 1 (grades 1-4) will meet from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Level 2 (grades 5-7) will meet from 12:30 to 2 p.m.; and Level 3 (grades 8-12) will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
