Active fires in North Idaho

* Parker Ridge Fire: Burning since July 29, covers 6,559 acres, 45 percent containment. Located approximately 20 miles northwest of Bonners Ferry and 7 miles southwest of Porthill.

* Clark Fork Complex: Burning since Aug. 14, covers 15,700 acres. Located in the Sandpoint Ranger District covering North Idaho and areas of northwest Montana.

* Avery Fire Complex: Burning since Aug. 11, covers 5,404 acres, 1 percent containment. Located in the southeastern portion of the St. Joe Ranger District approximately 7 miles southwest of Avery.

* Tower Fire: Burning since Aug. 11, covers 25,444 acres, 22 percent containment. Located 17 miles north of Newport, Wash., and 6 miles west of Priest Lake.

* Grizzly Complex: Burning since Aug. 10, covers 18,603 acres, 1 percent containment. Located between Enaville and Murray in the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River drainage near Grizzly Peak.

* Monument Fire: Burning since Aug. 21, covers 618 acres, 5 percent containment. Located on Monument Peak, 15 miles north of Rose Lake.

* Snow Peak Complex: Covers 6,850 acres, 0 percent containment. Located within the southeastern portion of the St. Joe River District. Due to limited staffing and resources, updates are provided on Thursdays only.

* Last Inch: Burning since Aug. 21, covers 737 acres, 65 percent containment. Located 12 miles east of Clarkia in Glover Creek/ Woesner Ridge and into west Floodwater Creek drainage.

* Lone Mountain Fire: Ignited Aug. 29 by downed power lines, covers 135 acres. Located approximately 15 miles north of Coeur d'Alene. This fire spread rapidly due to high winds last Saturday, triggering a temporary evacuation of the area. Fire crews quickly responded and constructed a dozer line around the fire. Today, the fire is in mop-up and monitor status.
