VOTE: For strong oversight

In light of the three recent cases of embezzlement in the city of Athol, Cd’A and the chief deputy clerk of the county under Dan English, isn’t it time that the voters recognize we have a pervasive problem with lackluster oversight by our elected officials? It is past time that the voters refuse to elect or re-elect someone who didn’t exercise adequate vigilance over those handling our public money. If we can’t expect our local government officials not to line their pockets or their friend’s pockets with our money, how are we better than Detroit or Chicago?
