MILLIE: Eating her own words
Seeing Millie’s entry into “Readers Write” section last Sunday I thought well, for once she’s not whining or complaining about something living up here. But she didn’t disappoint. She’s at it again.
Now she’s praising “Cracker Barrel.” I’ve never eaten there but I’m sure it’s just another greasy spoon. I don’t dine out that much, but when I do I try to patronize the local eateries, and I’m sure some are greasy spoons. The people who own these restaurants are more likely working on a wing and a prayer, hoping to stay afloat. Then you have the big chains come in. They build a building, hire some people, if it doesn’t work oh well. They close up and leave, really not that big of deal to them.
I see Millie’s telling Randall Vogt to eat somewhere else. I’m sure he will and so will I.
