MICA: Why Hauser, Arhutick are best

I am writing this endorsement in support of Mike Arhutick and Gretchen Hauser, candidates for open commissioner seats at the Mica Kidd Island Fire Protection District. As a former volunteer and Treasurer of the District and a resident of the area for over 20 years, I am well aware of the qualities needed to be a successful commissioner. Both Gretchen and Mike possess those qualifications. They are concerned about the current direction of the district, and both will work diligently to return the interests of the taxpayers to the forefront, and both will also encourage and support the participation of more local volunteers in the district operations. Mike was one of the original commissioners for the district when it was formed and he has detailed knowledge of the financial operations of a district. Gretchen is a long-term resident of the district and is actively involved in many community groups. Both have the time and energy to meet all the demands of being a commissioner. I urge your vote for both Mike Arhutick and Gretchen Hauser.
