LAKELAND: Still no love, Press

Well here I am again writing on behalf of the small high school Lakeland Hawks. So Wednesday morning I open the sports page to find once again a HUGE photo of the Mighty Lake City High boys soccer team plastered at the top of the page. Congrats to them for placing third in the 5A tournament! Great! What about the Lakeland Hawks, who shut out two top teams to get to the finals? They finished second in a brutal game against Pocatello [Century]. Their headline on Sunday read: Lakeland Boys Denied First Title Trip. Where’s their big photo with their trophy? Maybe if we played Lake City and beat them again we would get a HUGE Photo and more love. Guess I will have to wait till next year and we DOMINATE STATE for 1st Place.
