ROETTER: Hayden needs him

This letter is in support of Matt Roetter for Hayden City Council.

Matt and I first met several years ago. There are several of us who regularly work out at a local gym that opens at 6:30 a.m. Our small group enjoys the early hour.

Over the years we have had wide ranging conversations. Matt has a wide range of interests and is always open to learning and new ways of thinking. He has always shown respect for the views of others.

When he announced he was running for the position on the Hayden City Council, he asked what we would like to see and/or what concerns we had.

With his background in investigations, he has testified at many hearings. He knows and practices the concept of unbiased research. To be selected as a member of the Idaho Board of Medical Malpractice Prelitigation Panel is a testament to his expertise and his reputation for fairness.

Speaking of fairness, it looks to me as if his opponent does have a conflict of interest in the lawsuit against the City of Hayden. A lawsuit, if it prevails, could put our city budget in the hole and thus raise our taxes.
