ROETTER: Big man, big heart

| October 28, 2015 9:00 PM

A good friend of mine, Matthew Roetter, is running for the Hayden City Council. I first met Matt several years ago at a Bible study meeting. It did not take long to learn he is a big guy with a gentle nature and big heart. When my son was having health problems and needed to move from his apartment, Matthew volunteered to help move him. This was to be expected from Matt, since he is a loving husband and father.

This is just one example of his caring attitude and I believe we need people who have a heart to help others, serving in government.

Matt is knowledgeable about national, state and local political issues. He has served on the local Republican committee. Since I am involved with several veteran service organizations, including testifying before the Senate veterans affairs committee in Washington, D.C., I especially appreciate Matt being a supporter of veterans.

Matt’s willingness to serve others and knowledge of the concerns facing the community of Hayden will make him a beneficial member of the city council. As a veteran and longtime resident of Hayden, I fully endorse Matthew Roetter for the post of city councilman for Hayden on November 3.
