CAUCUS: On the right track
Good editorial on Friday, Oct. 23. I am one of the supporters of the “renegades” who are trying to inject some sense to the elite in Washington, regardless of the impact on their personal advancement. Maybe, for once, we have some representatives in Washington who care more about the future of the country than of their own situation.
I am appalled at the actions of the Democrats in the past few days. Voting to support Sanctuary Cities, against Kate’s Law, and now Obama vetoes the defense appropriation bill because it prevented him from closing Gitmo. This is a direct action negatively impacting our security in a world gone crazy in part due to his actions. When are the Democrats going to start thinking about the security of our citizens and the country?
Are the conservatives and the Republicans perfect? Absolutely not, but who is? However if we put another Democrat in the White House and Congress continues its current path we can say goodbye to this country as we know it. Continue the way we are going and 10 years from now we will be paying a bitter price for these actions. A family cannot continue to spend more than it takes in or it will be bankrupt. Our government is no different.
