NIC VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals rally past Colorado Northwestern
RANGELY, Colo. — Penny Gwynn had 18 kills and 17 digs for the North Idaho College volleyball team in a 21-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-7 win over the Colorado Northwestern Spartans in Scenic West Athletic Conference play on Friday.
“Colorado Northwestern came out on fire and played great,” NIC coach Kelsey Stanley said. “It took us until Game 4 to actually start playing. Our middles struggled and didn’t play like we’d hope. I’m happy with a win though.”
Julia Silva had 16 kills and six digs, Brenna Meehan 14 kills and 19 digs and Brittany Gay 55 assists and 17 digs for NIC (15-13, 6-3 SWAC), which faces Utah State-Eastern today in Price, Utah.
Former Coeur d’Alene High standout Miranda Miller had 12 kills and 13 digs for Colorado Northwestern (12-14, 3-7).
