| October 24, 2015 9:00 PM

James John Januscheitis Sr., 73, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away Oct. 18, 2015, after a courageous battle with leukemia which progressed very rapidly in the last month.

Jim was raised Catholic and joined the Navy in 1958, becoming a Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class on the USS Twining DD540. He worked different jobs throughout his life, but later enjoyed his work selling office equipment. He loved fishing, camping — wherever he lived besides just enjoying the outdoor life. He was an ardent Seattle Seahawks and Mariners fan.

Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Duane, who died at age 19 in an auto accident; his father, John Jack, in 1986 at the age of 75; mother Magdeline, in 2009 at the age of 91; and brother Kenneth, at the age of 70 in 2014.

Jim is survived by his children, Jim Jr. of Vancouver, Wash., and Angela Wright of Belleair, Fla.; Mark and Kevin of Minnesota; a step daughter, JoAnn Boyle of the Seattle area; two brothers, John of McMinnville, Ore., and Thomas of Longview, Wash.; three sisters, Rita of Yakima, Wash., Diane of Pasco, Wash., and Sandra of Post Falls, Idaho; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no local services planned. A Catholic Mass will be said for Jim in Oklahoma City, Okla., and one also, in Belleair. Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Jim’s online memorial and sign his guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
