Mitchell 'Mickey' Hutchison, 45

| October 23, 2015 9:00 PM

Mitchell “Mickey” Hutchison passed to heaven on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, leaving behind his wife, Elizabeth, and his sons, Tyler and Trevor Hutchison and Kerrick Price.

Mickey had fought his battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) the last three years. He always kept his faith and trust in the Lord, during his illness. Mickey was born in Chilliocothe, Ohio. He grew up and graduated high school in Willits, Calif., where he played baseball. As a boy he loved to fish down by the pond near their house. He never gave up either of those passions when he moved to Boise, Idaho, when he was 20. He had his own framing company MH Construction and Treasure Valley Framing. He loved to build houses with his crew and also they were on the local bowling leagues. He was always fun to be around and a great friend. He met and married his wife (Ruth Elizabeth Levers Hutchison) in Kuna, Idaho, and had their two beautiful boys in 2003 and 2006. His family meant the world to him.

His passion for fishing grew stronger, so he moved his family to Texas in 2007 to try to make a living bass fishing. He made it to the finals for the semi-pro tournament but he then went to work delivering for Coca-Cola in Beaumont, Texas. After being diagnosed in 2012 with ALS he moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to be near family.

He passed away at his home in Rathdrum, Idaho with his wife and boys by his side. He will be missed more than words can express.

A celebration of Mickey’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at Bell Tower Funeral Home, 3398 E. Jenalan Ave., Post Falls, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the Mick Hutchison Boys Trust Fund at any U.S. Bank branch or online.
