COEUR d'ALENE — Taking care of your health, and keeping an eye on your future health, doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg.

The Coeur d'Alene Peak Health and Wellness Center is presenting a health and wellness fair from 4-6:30 p.m. Oct. 28. It is free and open to the public.

This year's event will feature 30 booths with goods, services and programs that cover a wide scope of health concerns and aspects, including skin and beauty care, physical therapy, chiropractic, movement screening, body fat/composition testing, supplement samples, weight management, healthy food and beverages, nutrition counseling and more. New this year are the financial advisers and dental care providers who will be on site.

The fair's organizer, Peak club manager and sales director Lindsay Cantrell, said the focus will be on preventive health care. This is the second year for the event.

"A lot of these things preventatively help you your whole life," she said. "The more active you are, the healthier you are."

Peak's health and wellness fair will include plenty of opportunities to enter drawings, take home giveaways and win early bird door prizes. There will also be free tumbling demonstrations for kids.
