| October 19, 2015 6:58 AM

Police are investigating two robberies that occurred at businesses in Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene within eight hours of each other.

The suspect appears to be the same person in both cases, according to police.

Frontier Grocery in Post Falls was robbed on Sunday night, and the lone male suspect escaped with about $250 worth of cash.

The incident at 2707 W. Seltice Way occurred around 9 p.m.

The male entered Frontier Grocery, demanded money from the cashier and left with the money about 30 seconds after entering the business.

"There was no mention of a weapon during this incident," a Post Falls Police press release states.

The male suspect was described as being between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-4, slender build and bright blue eyes. He was wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and a white mask to cover most of his face.

While en route, Post Falls Police officers were advised the male suspect had fled on foot north of the business. Officers searched the area and set up a perimeter, but were unable to locate the male suspect. An investigation continues.

Police are also investigating a robbery attempt at the Cenex Zip Trip, 1427 E. Best Ave., at 5:14 this morning. In that case, the suspect ask for money, the worker declined and the male suspect fled on foot.
