LETTERS: Use 'debating' principles
I’m responding to two letters in the Oct. 16 Press from Ray A. Fink and Lawrence Kettle. They both use “debating” principles instead of honesty, accuracy or a any real goal to make America better. Characterizing everything that has been done with Obama as president has failed is absolute unsupportable hyperbole.
The same goes for everything that was said about liberals “getting rid of Christians and Jews, etc.” by Mr. Fink. I don’t have to say much about Mr. Kettle’s letter because The Press did it for us regarding the unfettered bias and unfiltered false statements.
Both letters relentlessly use conservative buzz words in their attempt to support their hogwash. Here’s an idea; if you are really pro-American and want to make our country better open your mind to what other Americans think. That might taint you in the eyes of your cohorts but it might just produce a dialogue that will make America better for all Americans! I, for one, am ready to hear some honest and unbiased ideas from anyone who has them regardless of the political moniker they assume.
