PREP FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Timberlake romps past Kellogg

SPIRIT LAKE — Randy Duclos ran for 109 yards and a touchdown and Brandon Hausladen and Caleb Munson ran for two scores each as the Timberlake Tigers pounded out 371 yards on the ground in a 62-8 win against the Kellogg Wildcats in an Intermountain League game on Friday night at Van Tuinstra Memorial Field.

Timberlake (5-2, 2-0 IML) concludes the regular season next Friday at Bonners Ferry.

Brandon Stott passed for 109 yards for Kellogg (0-7, 0-2), which hosts Priest River next Friday at Teeters Field.

HARRISON FLATS — Jalen Kirk and Tyler Anderson had a pair of touchdown runs in the first quarter, helping the Mustangs get past the Warriors in a White Star League game.

“They’re a tough team,” Kootenai coach Doug Napierala said. “Anderson’s a big, strong kid, but we did the best we could. They’re a well-coached and developed team and very experienced and I hope they go deep in the playoffs. Our team rose to the occasion and we got better tonight. I’m proud of the kids for giving them a fight and getting better for next year.”

Tanner Andersen scored on a 6-yard touchdown run in the third quarter for Kootenai (0-7, 0-6 WSL), which travels to face Tekoa-Rosalia on Oct. 30 in Rosalia.
