COEUR d’ALENE — Ali Williams had 11 kills, 16 assists, six digs and two aces as the Coeur d’Alene Vikings beat the Lewiston Bengals 25-15, 25-13, 25-22 in 5A Inland Empire League play Thursday at Coeur d’Alene High.
Coeur d’Alene (19-4, 5-1 5A IEL) is the second seed to the 5A Region 1 tournament, and will host third seed Post Falls (15-16, 1-5) on Saturday at 1 p.m. Lewiston (14-12, 1-5) will be the fourth seed, and play at top-seeded Lake City (21-4, 5-1), also Saturday at 1.
Missy Huddleston had nine kills, nine digs and four blocks, Isabella Hollibaugh 16 assists for Coeur d’Alene.

Lakeland
RATHDRUM — The Timberwolves swept the Hawks in a nonleague match 25-9, 25-7, 26-24 at Hawk Court.
Lake City (21-4) hosts Lewiston in the opening round of the 5A Region 1 tournament on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Sierra Mayberry had 10 kills and Brooklyn Bunch 12 digs for Lakeland (6-15), which competes in a tri-match on Saturday with Reardan and Timberlake at Spirit Lake.

PLUMMER — Talia Hendrickx had 26 assists, seven kills and 12 digs for the 1A Division II Knights in a 25-22, 25-21, 25-18 nonleague loss to the 2A Panthers.
“The girls played strong and smart,” Lakeside co-coach Karyn Stockdale said. “I thought they put up a good fight against a bigger school.”
Lillian Rhea had three aces, two assists, seven kills, seven digs and four blocks, Cailyn Dohrman five kills and 10 blocks and Te’a Lambert five kills and 10 digs for Lakeside (6-8), which enters the 1A Divison II District 1 tournament as the third seed, and will face second seed Clark Fork next Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Lake City High.

PRIEST RIVER — Grace McInturff had 19 kills and four blocks and Madison Napierala had 22 assists and eight digs, leading the 1A Division II Warriors past the 3A Spartans 25-17, 22-25, 25-17, 25-16 in a nonleague match.
“The girls are continuing to build tough mentalities this week,” Kootenai coach Mary Gentry said. “They did a great job of turning the momentum back into their favor after hitting some rough patches tonight. I’m really proud of how much progress they’ve made over the season.”
Kaili Gentry had four blocks, eight digs and five kills, Paxton Dotson 19 digs, 16 assists and five kills, Jenna Karpinski 11 kills and eight digs, Allison Short nine kills and eight digs and Brook Larson 11 digs for Kootenai (14-6), which is idle until the 1A Division II District 1 tournament Oct. 24 at Lake City High.

PINEHURST — Freshman Isabelle Kirk won the girls race at the Kellogg Invitational in 21 minutes, 1 second for Lakeland, which claimed the girls team title with 17 points at the Pinehurst Golf Course.
Cooper Haney of Lakeland won the boys race in 16:46, helping the Hawks to a third-place finish out of seven teams.
