INTRUDER: You should be grateful

| October 14, 2015 9:00 PM

A few nights ago, driving home, I remotely opened the door to my garage. You ran inside shouting, waving your arms and acting bizarrely. I watched as you began rummaging through the garage and removing items from my wife’s car. I was very angry and began to get out of my car until my wife pointed out that you were younger and bigger, and that I was relatively defenseless. We called 911 from our car and the police arrived quickly. After a few minutes they were able to subdue you. Even in handcuffs you were difficult to wrestle into a patrol car, and as you and the police drove off, we could hear you screaming.

You were in my garage and appeared to be wild and out of control (meth?). Here are a couple questions for you: What if I had gotten out of my car with a gun? And then what if you had come toward me and I had felt threatened?

Instead of being shot and maybe killed, you spent a night in jail. I have never bought a gun. You’re welcome.
