EBERLEIN: On top of his game

| October 14, 2015 9:00 PM

I have known Marc for several years prior to his election to the Kootenai County Board of Commissioners. I have had enough recent conversations with him to know there is nothing wrong with his mental health.

As a matter of fact, Marc is more cerebral than most. He will frequently inject into a story or conversation a quote from a 19th century philosopher to emphasize his point. You may be required to listen a little longer but you will probably learn something you didn’t know before.

As to the allegation Marc is seen siding more with Dan Green in recent decisions, maybe, just maybe, he has studied those issues and determined Dan’s opinion was more closely aligned to his than David Stewart’s.

I believe Marc will study the issue whatever it is and vote for the benefit of the taxpayer. I do not believe he will automatically vote with Dan in all instances because they have philosophical differences on many topics.

Why this dust up in the Commissioner’s Office now? There is an old saying in politics that may apply here: “Follow the money.”
