Miller, Logan lead NIC golfers at Invite

HAYDEN LAKE — North Idaho College golfer Luke Logan finished with a 147 (+1 total), good for sixth place in the NIC Invitational at Avondale Golf Club.

NIC’s Jesse Lambert tied for 27th, Tyler Azevedo finished in a tie for 35th, Connor Hayes tied for 48th, Braydon Swapp tied for 51st, Logan Dykes tied for 54th and Jackson Shaver tied for 56th.

Evan Omelia of Washington State shot rounds of 68 and 72 for a 5-under par to take medalist honors.

On the womens’ side, NIC’s Nicole Miller shot a second-round 74 to finish in second place alone, behind medalist Sammi Jo Spring of Lewis-Clark State.

Sierra Tingey tied for 11th, Mackenzie Phillies finished in a tie for 17th, Amalia Negrette was 20th and Kerrin Reynolds was 35th.
