SHOOTING: The cost of idealism

Just last week, there was another mass shooting at a community college in Roseburg, Ore. I have family members who live there, and fortunately they were safe. So I was notified by way of social media. Being that my sister-in-law is/was a teacher, I thought it was best to make certain they were OK.
What is not OK is the gun violence. Nor are the ideological excuses for gun violence OK. I am going to relate a quote, that I deem to be most applicable for the occasion. It is no less than from William F. Buckley (The Week, NationalReview.com) 25 September 2015: “Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.”
Blessings and hugs for the families of the victims.
