Rehabilitation facility gets building permit from city
COEUR d'ALENE — The city of Coeur d'Alene issued a building permit for a rehabilitation facility at Riverstone.
The building permit said the facility has a construction value of $5.2 million and would be located at 1578 W. Riverstone Drive.
Advanced Health Care Corp., founded in Fruitland, Idaho, is seeking to open the facility. According to the company's website, it specializes in short-term nursing and rehabilitation following a hospital stay. The company's facilities offer private suites, 24-hour nursing care, and fine dining in a luxurious atmosphere.
The company has facilities in Idaho, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Kansas.
Last year, a representative from Advanced Health Care told The Press their company would have to wait two years for a license from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
“That is a deal-killer,” Robert Dellenbach, vice president of the company's corporate development, told The Press in April 2014. He couldn't immediately be reached for comment Friday.
