ADAMS: Keep religion out of it

| October 9, 2015 9:00 PM

All right Steve Adams! Thanks for showing the people of CDA what happens when we begin to even consider religion in politics. “I represent the constituency, the Christian conservative constituency that desperately needs representation in this city. I don’t believe Bruce or Dan have the same philosophy as I do.” (CDA Press quote)

Oh really Steve? Which of the literal thousands of Christian denominations do you subscribe to that allows you to say you represent Christan conservatives in CDA? And how do you know other council members DO NOT represent “Christian conservatives”?

Maybe you forget that we have secular government in this great country? Thank you, Founding Fathers! Keep religion out of politics and we will get better at governing. Radicals at your end of the spectrum will not compromise on any issue. You just take the easy way out and vote no on just about everything. Your crowd wants to cut government even though we get more and more people every year needing services. You were all against the new Mental Health Crisis Center.(big govt waste). You and your kind (RR’s who do not represent Ronald Reagan’s style of politics in any way) are great with freedom and liberty words but you are very lousy at governing. You want to tear the system down that has worked so well for so many years.

And finally, the Christian community is represented very well in CDA. We see you represented on most corners in town and on the streets. You are doing just fine. Cut with the poor me crap.
