Michael Taylor Pingel, 18, of Post Falls, was recently called to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Washington, D.C., South Mission. He is the son of Bishop Scott Pingel and his wife Shari, also of Post Falls. Taylor will enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, on Oct. 14.
Taylor is a 2015 graduate of Post Falls High School and is presently working for Walmart.
José Alberto Hernandez Jr., 19, of Coeur d’Alene, will serve the next two years in the Kentucky Louisville Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His parents are Michele Hernandez of Coeur d’Alene and José Hernandez Sr. of Denver, Colo. José will enter the Missionary Training Center on Oct. 28.
A 2014 graduate of Post Falls High School, José has also attended North Idaho College where he took general studies. He has lived the past year and a half with the Scott and Felicia Bates family who have been greatly instrumental in helping him prepare for this mission. He considers them all a part of his family. José is currently working as janitor at Aire-Master of Eastern Washington.
