Kootenai Health to Break Ground on $10.5 Million Expansion in Post Falls

| October 1, 2015 8:27 AM

In order to meet the growing needs of patients in Post Falls, Kootenai Health is embarking on a $10.5 million, two-story, 22,000 square foot expansion project.

The expansion will add on to the existing campus at 1300 E. Mullan Ave. and provide new

space for additional clinic locations and ancillary services to better care for our patients.

“Post Falls is growing and so are we,” Jeremy Evans, VP of Operations said. “Kootenai Health

has been serving Post Falls since 1996 and our goal is to continue to provide the highest quality

care close to home. With our new expansion at the Kootenai Health campus in Post Falls, we

will be able to provide even better multi-specialty coordinated care for our patients.”

This project is expected to take 12 to 15 months to complete and will result in the creation of

more than 75 construction jobs and 20 permanent positions. This project is being funded as part

of Kootenai Health’s master facility plan.

Kootenai Health has maintained Magnet status since 2006. This designation is nursing's top

honor, accepted nationally as the gold standard in nursing excellence. Additionally, Kootenai

Health is part of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, a national network of organizations that share a

commitment to better serving patients and their families. As part of the Mayo Clinic Care

Network, Kootenai Health physicians have access to Mayo Clinic’s knowledge and expertise

when these additional resources can be helpful. This access allows many patients to avoid

unnecessary travel for answers to complex medical questions.
